Monday with Pam:

Classic Nia routines taught with an emphasis on increasing sensation and joy in our bodies.

Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays with Beth:

Beth presents classic routines as well as her own, using a wide variety of music. Her style is athletic and includes interval training and strength work.

Tuesdays and Thursdays with Ana:

This class is for people on the go, who like to get energized in the morning. Ana teaches classic and original Nia routines that are athletic and restorative.

Tuesdays with Margo:

Margo's 20 years of teaching dance and fitness is reflected in her high-energy Nia classes, which include both classic Nia routines and her own choreography crafted from Nia's movement vocabulary.

Wednesdays with Erin:

Erin's Midweek Nia Hour includes classic and home-spun Nia routines with an emphasis on fun, stress relief, and exploring the diverse movement techniques of Nia. This class is ideal for those looking for an energetic yet safe class where we explore the collective creativity of an hour dancing together.

Friday Night Dance Party:

Classic Nia routines or our own creations. A cooperative class co-taught by Elizabeth C, Lisa, and Pam.

What is Nia?

The Nia Technique™ incorporates elements of the dance arts, martial arts and healing arts for a diverse and stimulating cardiovascular, aerobic workout that is challenging yet easy to follow. Students improve strength, flexibility, mobility, and stability for greater functioning in our everyday lives.

What is Klezmer dance?

Klezmer dance is Jewish folk dancing done as a group, often in a circle or line, to Eastern-European music. Beginners are welcome. Michele brings the community together for dance that celebrates being alive every fourth Sunday of the month.

What is Mindful Movement?

Mindful Movement™, created by Naomi Milne, is a stretch class and work-out designed to activate deep core awareness and full body strength. Using both linear and spiraling motion, mat exercises flow from one to the next, focusing on alignment and fluid movement. Judy Green's class is a gentle workout designed for all-age adults. As a supplement or complement to Nia classes, the slower motion of Mindful Movement deepens our connection to our physical bodies. Students experience centering and energizing, relaxation and strengthening, and joy in movement. Wednesdays at 9:30a.m.

*Individual Class Fees*

In addition to offering our Sway class card, each teacher at Sway works independently and will set her own fee schedule should you choose to attend only one teacher's classes. Contact each teacher regarding those rates.
